Simplified access to your state’s PDMP
RXNT offers direct access to state Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs)* through Bamboo Health (formerly Appriss Health), from our Electronic Health Records (EHR), Electronic Prescribing (eRx), and Full Suite solutions. Our software efficiently creates a direct link to your state’s PDMP, eliminating the need to separately access the PDMP database website.

What is a PDMP?
PDMPs are state-based electronic databases of controlled substances that are dispensed to patients from different providers throughout the state. By directly accessing the PDMP, prescribers are able to view a patient’s past and current medication history. This helps avoid adverse drug effects, and gives practitioners the ability to check for possible opioid addiction, substance abuse, or “doctor shopping.”
PDMPs required in some U.S. states
While most states have a PDMP available, several make it mandatory to review a patient's history via the PDMP before prescribing certain medications, such as opioids and other controlled substances.
Non-funded vs. funded states
The integration of PDMPs to EHR and eRx software is funded in several states. Bamboo Health (formerly Appriss Health) does not charge for registration to these PDMPs. However, in those states without a fully-funded integration, Bamboo Health charges a one-time implementation fee.

Get started as soon as possible
To enroll for direct PDMP access, go to the Integrate PMP/PDMP With RXNT page within the RXNT Help Center. You’ll need to complete a Bamboo Health (formerly Appriss Health) form for credentialing. Getting your credentials can take two to four weeks, so the sooner you begin, the sooner you’ll have direct access to your state’s PDMP.
